| Over the years standing in check-out lines at the supermarket I have noticed an evolvement of the kinds of tabloids and magazines that are in the stands. Most magazines nowadays are health-related, environmentally focused and parenting magazines. These are the kinds of things that I would notice or pick up. Yes there's a couple of the types heralding the latest on 'Brangelina' but The Enquirer and The Star are pretty much a thing of the past at least in the places where I shop. And to me that says a lot about today's consumer and what is uppermost in the minds of people. If a magazine article on a buck-naked actor were to appear it would likely be about the taboos we are hopefully getting past and how films and art are also changing. Canada's Bill C-10 be damned!
Vigs, I think I would like your mother. East Clintwood! My grandmother used to call one of the Beatles John Lemmon. Oooh I used to get so insulted by that. Now I think it was cute of her that she knew who she was talking about. |
