| You are most welcome, Vigs. Some are not too clear and look a bit like screencaps, but it is nice to see them nonetheless. _________________

| Thanks for posting these Jennifer. I think we can look forward to yet another 'good' movie.
I happened to visit a link posted over at IMBD that had a link to another trailer. I believe it has since been removed but what I did see of this movie is like 'WOW' _________________ Be Yourself. Everyone else is taken.

| Thanks for finding that Jennifer. It looks like a very powerful movie. That final scene is quite compelling.
Posted on leakycauldron site re the movie:
| Quote: | Good" Movie Trailer. Good examines the life of everyman John Halder; a good and decent individual with family problems: a neurotic wife, two demanding children and a mother suffering from senile dementia. A literary professor, Halder explores his personal circumstances in a novel advocating compassionate euthanasia. When the book is unexpectedly enlisted by powerful political figures in support of government propaganda, Halder finds his career rising in an optimistic current of nationalism and prosperity. Seemingly inconsequential decisions lead to choices, which lead to more choices - with eventually devastating effect.
Jason Isaacs is Maurice, Halder's (Viggo Mortensen) friend.

Trailer for Viggo Mortensen's 'Good' Heading to TIFF with this one...
By: Brad Brevet | Sunday, August 24, 2008
Thanks to Ryan at Awards Daily we are tipped off to the emergence of the trailer for Viggo Mortensen's Good, a film in which Mortensen will play a professor who has been seduced by Germany's national pride and renaissance during the early 1930s as well as a flirtation with a student. Mortensen stars alongside Jason Isaacs, Mark Strong, Steven Mackintosh and Gemma Jones in the flick.
Mortensen actually replaced Hugh Jackman who was originally cast in the film way back in 2005 with Lone Scherfig (Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself) directing.
There currently is no distributor attached and a release date is not known but it is premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival beginning September 4. Personally I think it looks great and wouldn't be surprised if we see this on the 2009 Oscar ticket (I don't think there is enough time for this year, a boat Che has quickly fallen into). I would love to get a peek at it though, screener anyone? Please. Send one my way?
Speaking of Oscar season be sure to check out all we have for Mortensen's upcoming western Appaloosa, I just added a ton of pictures.

Oscar buzz is already starting for Viggo Mortensen, though it’s not for any particular one film. It’s actually for three films, and the early word is that with so many potentially great performances… well at least one of them has to be enough to get him re-nominated, doesn’t it?
The three movies in question are the western Appaloosa, the post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie The Road, and a movie which you probably haven’t heard much about called Good.
Good is a period piece, which stars Viggo as a German professor attempting to resist the rise of the Nazi party shortly before World War II and Jason Isaacs as his Jewish friend. The idea here is a good one. World War II movies are always told from the perspective of soldiers or revolutionaries, but Good is about an average German citizen, just trying to find a way to do the right way by his friends, his family, and his country. Halfway through the film Viggo’s wife, looking around at her Nazi run world remarks: “Everyone looks so happy. Anything that makes people happy can’t be bad can it?” That seems to sum up the thoughtful, questioning tone of this film pretty well. _________________

Viggo as a "Good" German...Nazi...and a serious Oscar contender? posted by OtownRog on Aug 27, 2008 7:51:17 AM
Viggo Mortensen's Eastern Promises Oscar nomination was not the fluke some of us might have thought at the time. The guy broods well, seethes, lets us see him think, and does a mean accent.
In Good, he plays a German scholar who writes a book the Nazis like (eugenics, euthanasia), becomes a Party darling and finds himself shooting the rapids down the river of denial as his country swirls down the drain of history. And from the looks of it, this could be serious Oscar bait. He's terrific in it. Jason Isaacs co-stars. _________________
